Digital Literacy

 

Goal: To foster the ability to locate, organize, understand, evaluate, analyze, and present information using digital technology. 

 

Activities include:

 

• Student and teacher training in creating and maintaining Digital Portfolios.

 

• Practice typing, attaching files, uploading and scanning documents, and other basic computer functions.

 

• Having students conduct research and learn to organize information online.

 

• Bridge what students learn in the classroom with learning practical digital skills.

 

• Sign up girls who are participating in the program for local tech workshops that are held by local partner nonprofit Tech Needs Girls to give them additional opportunities to practice and build their digital skills.
