Career Development 

 

Goal: Embed learning in a future-oriented perspective for students to develop habits of goal setting and ability to explore their ambitions.

Activities include:

 

• Student Journal notebooks in Digital Portfolios – Students will write in their journals once a month to reflect on their previous month and set goals for the next month. Students will write about what went well this month and what they want to work on next month?

 

• Career month: Designated month for students to explore their ambitions, identify their strengths and interests, and learn about different professions and industries.

 

• Career speaker series: Invite professionals from various industries to connect what youth learn in the classroom to the real world.

 

• Help students visualize the person they want to become and encourage them to set goals, and document their growth in their Digital Portfolios.
